Leaving Las Vegas (or trying to...)

Las Vegas - a celebrated and hated place. It was hard to know what we felt about the place even when had left.

Good Times
Our hotel had an amaaaaazing pool - which we spent most of our waking hours in due to the party atmosphere and a bar serving the largest margheritas we'd ever seen. (think of a yard of ale glass).

The view from our room was stunning - it really made us feel like celebs.

The room - have a look for yourselves.

The price ! It was actually a cheap deal and we were very pleased with ourselves.
Cirque du Soleil - we saw the most amazing show called KA - which involved acrobatics, martial arts, incredible costumes and the entire set rotated and moved from vertical to horizontal.


Bad Times
Gambling - it sucks you in. We decided not to play on the tables because we were on a budget but couldn't help but have a flutter on the video poker and slots. Yes we won some but lost just as much (if not more) and could see how easy it was to become addicted to that elusive winning streak.

Food - The choice and quality wasn't very good unless you were willing to spend the money - although we had some of the best room service ever.











The heat - it was 50 C and the wind was also warm - imagine being in a sauna with a fan heater. It sapped your energy and made everything that much harder.

The budget - it's not a place to have a budget. Seriously.

Needless to say we really enjoyed ourselves but we had serious burnout from the 24/7 feel of the place. I don't know if we'll ever be back but never say never....
